Old Patent Tube Works

One of the oldest Tube Works: John Russel of the Old Patent Tube Works & The Alma Tube Works, Manufacturers of Patent Welded Iron Tubes and Fittings for Gas, Steam and Water.Also Manufacturers of Hoop, Bar and Merchant Iron at the Cyclops Ironworks, Walsall.

1811 Company established.

1876 Incorporated as a Limited Company. The company was registered on 6 July, to acquire the businesses of tube manufacturers of John Russell and Co and Emily Russell and Co.

1914 Manufacturers of Iron, Wrought Iron and Steel Tube, Brass Founders.

1935 Patent – Improvements relating to taps or faucets.

1935 Patent – Improvements relating to water taps.

1937 Listed Exhibitor – British Industries Fair. Brass and Gunmetal Valves and Fittings for steam, water and gas. Pipe fittings, Screwed iron or Copper thread. Patent Cam-actutated “Camac” Tap. (Stand Nos. D.601 and D.500)
